What is the best affordable smart vacuum cleaner for the money?

There are several good smart vacuums on the market, after much review I named the Shark ION as the best affordable smart vacuum for the money. Its a powerful dust buster on a budget.

Here’s why, I first heard about smart vacuums a couple of years ago and ever since, I wanted one. The only problem was the price and at the time Roomba was the only smart vacuum on the market.

Spending $600 + for a smart vacuum was a bit much for my pockets, especially with all the previous vacuums I purchase were under $150.

This is a question you are going to have to ask yourself when considering to buy a smart vacuum, is it actually worth the money?

Let’s dig a little deeper of our review on smart vacuums in this blog.

The Best Affordable Smart Vacuum Cleaner Worth the Money

Smart Vacuums Price

Some of these vacuums can cost up to $1,000, such as the iRobot Roomba i7 but with so much competition on the market, you can buy a good one as low as $200. It will come with the same basic features and functions which would operate the same way as some of the top smart vacuum models.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the Roomba brand and if I had the budget for the top tier iRobot, I would’ve purchased one with no hesitation. But this article is for the average consumer whose thinking about purchasing their first smart vacuum at a fraction of the cost of a premium vacuum.

In today’s article, I would like to cover three friendly dust busters that’s worth the value you’ll get from a budget-priced robot.

Shark ION Robot 750

The Shark ION 750 is the smart vacuum we purchased and for a great deal on Black Friday. We only paid $199.99 from the original price of $349.99.

Shark is well-known as the brand of making vacuums and for us, the Shark ION 750 was not a disappointment.  It comes pretty close to the Roomba brand as far as vacuum capabilities. Just Under 3 inches tall and can easily get in and out from under furniture.

The Shark ION 750 - This model comes with an easy removal dustbin that slides out with the press of the button, on the bottom is a single roller brush and a pair of spinning side brushes.

This model comes with an easy removal dustbin that slides out with the press of the button, on the bottom is a single roller brush and a pair of spinning side brushes. On the top is general cleaning, one spot cleaning and one that sends it back to its dock for recharging button.

You can either control Shark ION 750 using voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Home or with a Smart App. This model does not come equipped with a physical remote control.

The only negative thing I can say, is it doesn’t include any sophisticated mapping navigation (smart navigation). The way it picks up information is from its array of infrared sensors.

We run our Shark ION 750 every day in the afternoon while everyone is out of the apartment on its automated schedule. With three small boys, this vacuum is a lifesaver, no more sweeping pieces of paper and crumbs off the floor. We are able to get our time back, have a thoroughly clean home, and is one of the best in class smart home technology under $300.

The last time I check, the latest model Shark ION RV 85 was on sale. Click Amazon for the latest price.

Roomba

The Roomba 690 Robot vacuum

iRobot is in the business of building robots and “If it’s not from iRobot, it’s not a Roomba.” As the top Roomba is close to a $1,000, they also have an entry-level Roomba 690 that’s under $300 which is a great option to start with for any beginner.

The Roomba 690 Robot vacuum costs $299.99 on iRobot.com but you can find a cheaper and current price on Amazon.com. Roomba has come a long way from when the price for one of these smart robot vacuums was well over $600 and now, they are giving consumers the option for anyone to afford a Roomba.

All the current Roomba has what’s called the three-stage cleaning system, which includes the dual brush roll design and one edge cleaning brush. They all have the same basic sensors including the bump sensor, cliff detention, dirt detention and they are also Wi-Fi connected. Roomba is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

What is the difference from the top tier and entry level is the navigation system? The lower level is random navigation and the top is smart navigation, which comes with a camera. The top two Roomba 960 and i7 vacuums also have imprint technology. This allows you to control which rooms are cleaned and when. Gives you a powerful performance and intelligent cleaning.

But that’s not it, there is one more smart vacuum you can get bang for your buck.

Eufy RoboVac 11

The Eufy RoboVac 11

Smart vacuums are a convenience that unfortunately many of us can’t afford, but luckily, the last vacuum on the list has the best of both worlds, affordability, and reliability. Now, you won’t get the premium features such as the mapping or Wi-Fi connectivity but you will get cleaning power comparable of both the Shark ION and Roomba 690.

The Eufy RoboVac 11 is quiet, good for low-profile furniture and easy control with the remote. It’s equipped with specialized cleaning modes, edge, spot, and max and comes with a large dustpan.

One of the favorite things about this vacuum is it’s low-profile which makes it very easy to get under various types of furniture such as coffee table, TV stands, bed, and some sofas to eliminate hidden dirt without a problem. Eufy RoboVac 11 low-profile design is 0.5in thinner than its competitors.

The Eufy RoboVac 11 has everything you need for a smart vacuum under $300. There are different models you can purchase with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connection and app control but the price will go up.

This is the highest-selling vacuum on Amazon at the time of this post for affordable smart vacuums. To find out Eufy RoboVac 11 current price check out Amazon.com.

Why Should You Buy a Smart Vacuum?

  • Vacuuming can be a daunting task for some and a waste of time for others, that’s why smart vacuums are becoming more popular today. The fact there requires little effort on your part is ideal.
  • Most people who live in apartments with hardwood floors and own pets such as dogs and cats. They can help with hair when your pets shed.
  • If you own a larger home or live in a house you are better off with a higher-end vacuum like the iRobot Roomba 960 or Roomba i7 due to longer battery life, superior suction power, and more intelligence.
