Are you a Spotify subscriber but don’t know how to link Spotify to Google Home?

It’s really simple and easy to set-up, I promise.

As some of you may know I am a big Apple fanboy. Most of our devices we use are Apple products but when it comes to streaming, we prefer using Amazon Fire Cube for our TV shows, Amazon prime for movies and Spotify for music.

This can change as Apple has recently announced Apple TV + which will be released later this year and Apple Music continues to get better.

But as of right now we use the Spotify family plan which allows my wife and I to have individual accounts to play our own music.

Plus, Spotify is still considered the undisputed king of on-demand streaming music with a whopping 30 million-plus song catalog. On top of that, Spotify adds 20,000 new songs each day, impressive.

With countless subscribers to Spotify, it only makes sense to provide a how-to link Spotify to Google Home article.

The First thing you need is a Google Home, second, a Spotify account, and third a smartphone or tablet to install the Spotify app.

Okay, let’s get to it!

Can you play Spotify on the Google Home devices?

Yes. Google Home, Max, Mini and any other Google Assistant devices that support Spotify.

Can I listen to Spotify free on Google Home?

Absolutely, whether if you are using a Spotify premium or free account both will work. Spotify free only plays songs inspired by the song, album or artist you requested stations created by Spotify.

If you would like to sign up to Spotify premium it’s currently $9.99 per month and for the family plan just $14.99 per month for unlimited music for you and up to five people who reside at your same address.

Now you are able to listen to any music you request on your Google Home through Spotify premium. Just simply say “Ok Google, play my fave playlist.” Enjoy!
