I know it’s been a while, and since VeSync was so nice to send me this Etekcity Smart LED bulb, I decided that today I’d tell you about it, what it has to offer, and what my thoughts are on this user-friendly smart bulb.

What Else Does Etekcity Offer?
Now, it’s not just cheap but a great smart bulb too, with a lot of brightness and full support for Google Assistant and Alexa.
They also offer a full range of service such as Set Away Mode which turns devices on and off to give the appearance that someone’s home.

Plus, you can Create Schedule, which allows you to manage your devices to run on a schedule.
Setting Up the Etekcity Smart LED Bulb
The setup was pretty painless, first, you download the app, or scan the QR code Etekcity provides. Once you download the app, next you create a new account or login if you already have an account.
Connect your mobile device to a 2.4GHz WIFI network. This does take a little bit of time but it does work, so make sure you are patient.
Screw-in your smart bulb, and once that’s connected, follow the in-app instructions to add your smart bulb.

At this point, you are good to go! If you have a Google Assistant or Alexa, you must create your own VeSync account.
The app that VeSync provides is pretty good! Personally, I’m actually quite happy with its features. As my phone is readily accessible and always with me, in reality, the only time the smart bulb would be at risk is if my internet connection is out.
I must say that I only found two negative reviews while doing my research on the product and I just wasn’t able to replicate some of the experience others consumers found. Here are the pros and cons I found to be accurate while using Etekcity.

CONS
- Some users complain about the app will not work correctly

Final Thoughts
Having used a few smart LED bulbs in my home, I can say that my overall initial impression of the Etekcity Smart LED bulb is that it is an impressive smart bulb with a lot of power. It’s really liked a new smart home user dream.
I really love the fact the easy set-up and the app which offers me everything I need, but if anything goes wrong, I will be sure to update this post.
It seems that VeSync has really got the average smart home consumer in mind when creating this product, if you are thinking about picking one up, I would definitely suggest checking out the other reviews over here on Amazon. But in my opinion, it’s a real winner due to it’s easy to set-up system.
